The problem

The lack of usability, complex interface design and a confusing information architecture resulted in a considerable loss of customers. The main challenge was to understand what were the clientes needs and goals to change the current website into a simpler, modern and usable product for the specific target.

The goal

  • Improve customer loyalty to the brand
  • Increase sales via ecommerce
  • Improve communication between the startup and users through a stable information architecture
  • Generate a unique user experience using the latest design trends

The solution

Waku users needed to have an emotional connection with the product in relation with the Andes mountains and feel the naturalness of it while they were navigating the website (Not only creating an interface instead creating an experience). UIs (User Interfaces) need to be simple to navigate, easy to use, and created with the proper colors and fonts for the audience.
The unexpected location of the content, information islands (little information that has no connection to the content of the site), repetitive links, poor feedback, inconsistencies, poor message clarity, were also corrected. The website was continually evaluated with international usability guidelines until the product was scalable and efficient enough.
